Battlefield Explorer Great Circle

Three hours - $80 per person  -10am

This safari takes an in depth look at the battlefield. Trace Chamberlains defensive line, walk the wheat field and climb the rocks of Devils Den in this leisurely safari ride around the battlefield. Lots of photo and walking opportunities! What you'll see:

  • Roses Farm

  • Little Round Top

  • Big Round Top

  • Devils Den

  • Peach Orchard

  • Confederate Ave Monuments

  • Wheatfield

All safaris are led by a trained Segway instructor.

A licensed battlefield guide can also be arranged to accompany the safari. Guide fees are an additional $80

 

Two hours - $70 per person  -2.30pm

On this safari we follow the second day of battle from the events of early July, 1863. On this exhilarating ride you visit the following locations:

  • Roses Farm

  • Little Round Top

  • Devils Den

  • Peach Orchard

  • Wheatfield

Other sites including Confederate Avenue may be included depending on time available.

All safaris are led by a trained Segway instructor.

A licensed battlefield guide can also be arranged to accompany the safari. Guide fees are an additional $55

 

One and half hours - $80 per person  - 6pm

Glide the battlefield at sunset with a licensed battlefield guide. Delve into the history of the civil war battle during this ninety minute ride, while experiencing the sunset over the round tops.

All Safari routes have been meticulously designed to ensure your maximum safety and enjoyment. Your initial training will commence with learning basic segway skills in a secluded area (away from traffic and spectators). You will then gradually learn other skills to match the local terrain.

We do not travel along public streets or expose you to city traffic.

Reservations are required 24 hours in advance

Our Safari groups meet at Howe Avenue. Howe Avenue is within the National Battlefield Park. Park at the turning circle.

From 15 - Take Route 134 (Taneytown Road) off Highway 15 in the direction of Gettysburg, take first right turn. This is Howe Avenue.

From Gettysburg: Take Route 134 (Taneytown Road), travel 2 miles passing the National Park Visitors center (on right). Turn left on Howe Avenue (last left before reaching Hwy 15)

Please arrive 10 minutes prior to scheduled safari time. Parking is available on Howe Avenue
