Segways were launched to the public in 2003, since that time the models have changed a little but the basic principal of a self balancing personal transportation device remains the same. Segs in the City has been conducting trainings and Segway Safaris since 2004 and is the most experienced and safest operator in the area.

Given that there is a learning curve to using the Segway, each of our Safaris commence with an initial training program where you learn basic skills such as forward and backward motion, stopping and general use and safety tips.

Most people are up and running within minutes, but it is not until everyone is comfortable that the safari group heads out to tackle the sidewalks and general terrain.

 By the end of the Safari you will have had a blast and be very proficient in the use of a Segway. You will also be issued a Segs in the City License that entitles you to rent a Segway without a guide or further training.

Your guide, while knowledgeable of local history and tourist information, is an experienced Segway trainer that will assist you throughout the Safari with your segway  riding techniques and provide you with various Segway skills.

We currently have daily safari programs ranging from 1 to 3 hours in Washington, Annapolis, Baltimore and Liberty State Park
